Gaictech to Equip the Largest Tuna Plant in Gabon
We are proud to announce the signing of a new contract to fully equip what will become the largest tuna plant in Gabon. This achievement not only strengthens our presence in the international market as industry leaders but also demonstrates our ability to handle large-scale projects simultaneously.
Gaictech will be responsible for manufacturing the entire production line, from systems used to process raw materials to their final preparation for canning. The machinery for this turnkey project will be produced at our facilities in Porto do Molle (Nigrán) and fine-tuned at the plant in Libreville, the capital of Gabon, promising to significantly enhance the region’s productive capacity.
This contract adds to other high-profile projects we’ve undertaken, including the manufacture of a complete production line for Tunamax, Morocco’s largest tuna canning company, with a capacity of 15,000 tons annually and over 50,000,000 cans of tuna per year. Additionally, we have completed a 6-million-euro project for Oman’s state-owned Seafood Company ISFC. This recently delivered project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of cutting-edge technology for a plant in Duqm, including the commissioning of two complete canning lines: one for tuna with a capacity of 50 tons per day, and another for sardines with a capacity of 30 tons per day.
These significant contracts highlight Gaictech’s pivotal role in the modernization and expansion of the global canning industry.
